Schaumburg Township seeking new trustee

The Schaumburg Township board is seeking applicants to fill a trustee seat left vacant by the appointment of W. Robert Vinnedge to succeed Timothy Heneghan as township clerk.

Resumes to fill the trustee seat are being sought by both the township board that will make the final decision and the Schaumburg Township Republican Organization that may make a recommendation.

To be eligible, applicants must be residents of Schaumburg Township and members of the same political party as Vinnedge - in this case, Republican.

Resumes and statements of interest may be sent to both Clerk Vinnedge at rvinnedge@schaumburgtownship.org or 1 Illinois Blvd. in Hoffman Estates, and Schaumburg Township Republican Committeeman Joe Folisi at gopstro@gmail.com, by 5 p.m. Friday, May 17.

The township board hopes to vote on an appointment to fill the remaining two years of Vinnedge's term at its meeting of Wednesday, May 22.
