A train derailment has caused the CTA Blue Line to be halted between Rosemont and O'Hare International Airport, officials say.

CTA officials reported the derailment about 7 p.m. Wednesday. A 39-year-old woman sustained a back injury, according to the Chicago Fire Department. She was taken to Presence Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago and is stable, fire officials said.

The fire department said it evacuated 73 passengers from the train.

The train was going into the platform at O'Hare when it derailed, fire officials said. As a result, trains were operating only between Forest Park and Rosemont.

Shuttle buses are available to provide connecting service between Rosemont and O'Hare, officials said.

CTA officials did not provide an estimate of when service would be restored.
