Libertyville reviewing flood reduction plan

The Libertyville village board will review a communitywide stormwater master plan at its meeting beginning at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at village hall, 118 W. Cook Ave.

A comprehensive approach to manage stormwater has been in progress since before flooding in the summer of 2017 inundated neighborhoods. Up to $45.5 million in flood reduction projects have been identified.

Development of the plan has included a public open house and other feedback. The board is expected to adopt the plan on April 23.
