Wolff wins Batavia Ward 2 seat

Batavia's 2nd Ward Alderman Alan Wolff held on to his seat Tuesday night, according to unofficial election results, with 58 percent of the vote over challenger Len Solfa.

Wolff will now be the most senior member on the 14-member council, as Ward 7 Alderman Dave Brown did not run for re-election. Brown has served since 1997; Wolff, since 2003.

Wolff intimated on his Facebook page Tuesday that this may have been his final run for alderman.

In the 4th Ward, Alderman Tony Malay won re-election to a 2-year term. He was appointed to the council in 2017.

For the four-year 4th Ward seat, Joe Knopp defeated Susan Alderson. Incumbent Susan Stark did not run.

In the 5th Ward, Batavia Environmental Commission member Abby Beck was elected over former Hinsdale Village President Michael Woerner and Michael Hanrahan. The incumbent, Lucy Thelin Atac, did not run.

Keenan Miller was unopposed in his bid for the Ward 7 seat, as were Ward 6 Alderman Michael Russotto and Ward 1 Alderman Scott Salvati.
