Where to learn more about downtown Arlington Heights construction projects

Arlington Heights officials will host an informational meeting Monday, April 8, regarding downtown construction projects slated for this spring.

The meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the third floor boardroom of village hall, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road. Village staff will present an overview of the anticipated work and answer questions.

Construction will include the installation of larger combined sewer mains, Illinois Department of Transportation's resurfacing of a portion of Northwest Highway, Nicor's installation of new gas mains, the village's construction of two midblock crosswalks, and the village's replacement of brick pavers in sidewalks.

The project area is roughly bounded by Ridge Avenue, Eastman Street, Evergreen Avenue and Sigwalt Street.
