Lake County event April 11 to mark National Crime Victims' Rights Week

A National Crime Victims' Rights Week event will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at the Lake County Children's Advocacy Center, 123 N. O'Plaine Road, Gurnee.

Presentations will be given on protecting seniors from abuse and scams, identity theft, cyber crimes and consumer protection. Family activities also will be available.

The program is offered at no cost by the Lake County State's Attorney's Office, which has received federal funding to promote awareness of crime victims' rights and services.
