Wheeling was home improvement heaven over the weekend, as the village played host to the annual North Shore Home & Garden Show at the Westin Hotel and Event Center.

The two-day show featured hundreds of exhibitors and vendors from all facets of the home and gardening industries, ranging from traditional windows, doors and siding outfits to eco-friendly landscaping providers and high-tech smart home systems.

Visitors also could take in free seminars offering expert advice on kitchen remodeling and other household design projects.

With exhibitors covering a 30,000-square-foot area, the event was billed as the largest North Shore Home & Garden Show to date, and, best of all, it was free for visitors.
