Contest offers free space at The Arboretum of South Barrington

The Arboretum of South Barrington is accepting entries for a contest offering free space for four months to anyone with a creative business idea they'd like to test.

Entries for "Battle of the Pop-Up" will be accepted through April 19. The space will be available from July 1 through Oct. 31, and it includes free utilities and fixtures, along with a $500 merchandising package.

"We feel it's important to support the community and to support new or upcoming local businesses," Arboretum marketing director Stacy Kallas said. "We had a terrific response to our first Battle of the Pop-Up (in 2018) and are looking forward to the ideas that will be submitted this year."

Those who want to enter may do so through the Arboretum's website at shopthearb.com, or at the mall management office, 100 W. Higgins Road, Suite H-72 in South Barrington.
