Issue questions
What are the most important issues facing your park district and how do you intend to address them?
I believe that the very public disagreement between the Park District and the Library is the most pressing issue that is being faced at this time. I would like to gain more understanding of the history of the issues, what the options are, and I would hope to see this resolved during the term for which I would be elected.
If you are a newcomer, what prompted you to run for the park board? If you're an incumbent, list your accomplishments or key initiatives in which you played a leadership role.
As a newcomer I chose to run so that I can bring new ideas and to look ahead to the future of the Park District. I am also looking forward to working with a great group of people that have been involved in the efforts, care and decisions in making and keeping our parks beautiful and the high quality that Lombard expects.
Which programs aren't paying for themselves? Would you keep, eliminate or change them? How and why?
As of this time there are no programs that I see that have not paid for themselves. The ones that have been costly have, I believe already been cut.
Is there any additional open space the park district needs to acquire? Please describe.
There are none that I know of at this time.
Are there any unmet recreational needs? If yes, what are they and how would you propose paying for them?
I believe that Lombard Park District has met and exceeded the recreational needs of our community, especially with the new Madison Meadow Recreation Center.
