Issue questions
What are the most important issues facing your community and how do you intend to address them?
Development of the TIF district in the Green Oaks Business District, by improving the infrastructures and reducing blight through investigations and TIF funding.
Restructuring and working with the businesses within the Green Oaks Business District to be compliant with all village codes. Each business district is meeting with the village to accomplish this objective.
Repair/refurbish all village roads using resident road funding and general village funding.
Communicating with ALL HOA's and individual subdivisions to inform, answer questions, and get the pulse of the residents.
What makes you the best candidate for the job?
Trustworthiness, Honesty, Integrity. Accessibility to ALL residents.
Describe your leadership style and explain how you think that will be effective in producing actions and decisions with your village board or city council.
Non political, unbiased presentation of the facts. Use common sense while discussing what is in the best interest of the village residents and the village.
How would you describe the condition of your community's budget, and what are the most important specific actions the town should take to assure providing the level of services people want?
Green Oaks has a AAA+ financial rating which is extremely rare in the state of Illinois. Our board is proud of this. The residents just passed a road referendum to assist in ALL road improvements. Poor roads affect the value of properties. It is the village's responsibility to repair/replace the roads so ALL residents have safe roads and the highest property values possible.
What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?
To eliminate the road fund tax once all village roads are repaired/refurbished. This tax should be eliminated in 8-10 years.
