CANDIDATE QUESTION SETS

What are the most important issues facing your community and how do you intend to address them?

I believe that infrastructure surrounding water, sewer and septic, is our village's largest challenge at hand.

I believe that any "downtown" or commercial development, which is on the front lines of community development, is greatly threatened without infrastructure development.

What makes you the best candidate for the job?

I have been involved in many aspects of Village growth and development. I have been the trustee liaison for the village comprehensive plan, the Hawthorn Woods baseball program, as well as the village census re-count which has added hundreds of thousands of dollars to the village budget.

Describe your leadership style and explain how you think that will be effective in producing actions and decisions with your village board or city council.

Finally, I believe in servant leadership! By being a part of the community, working both in thought and action along side all residents concerned for better policy and community.

I have absolutely no issues with giving up my seat if I am replaced by someone who is engaged in servant leadership.

How would you describe the condition of your community's budget, and what are the most important specific actions the town should take to assure providing the level of services people want?

I believe the village budget is sound and balanced with a surplus which was not in existence when I first became a trustee.

I believe in our village CFO! I believe she is the primary driving force working with our finance committee for fiscal responsibility.

What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?
