Arlington Heights candidates forum scheduled for Saturday

Candidates for Arlington Heights village board and park board will discuss local issues during a forum Saturday morning at village hall.

The event will include the five candidates for four open seats on the village board: incumbents John Scaletta and Robin LaBedz, and newcomers Mary Beth Canty, Tom Schwingbeck and Laurie Taylor. The three park board candidates for two open seats are incumbent Rob Nesvacil and newcomers Charles McLaughlin and Brian Owen.

The event, from 9:30 to 11:20 a.m., will be held in the board room of village hall, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road. It will also be shown on the village's cable access channels: 17 on Comcast and 6 on WOW.

The forum is organized by the League of Women Voters Arlington Heights-Mount Prospect-Buffalo Grove-Wheeling-Prospect Heights-Elk Grove Village.
