CLC professors lead event on Star Wars Radio Dramas

The Star Wars Radio Dramas, the popularity of which helped save National Public Radio and led to a renaissance in the world of audio adventures, are the subject of a free program Saturday hosted by two College of Lake County professors at the Cook Park Library in Libertyville.

The presentation, put on by John and Maria Jose Tenuto, will include original production materials and special rare images, and will celebrate not only Star Wars actors but the behind the scenes crew as well. Special emphasis will be placed on the life and contributions of scriptwriter Brian Daley, who wrote "Star Wars" novels and the scripts for three radio dramas.

The free event will run from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Online registration is required. The library is located at 413 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville.
