Issue questions

* What are the most important issues facing your community and how do you intend to address them?

I believe that video gaming is an important issue Lombard faces and is addressed regularly within the community. I intend to address them by getting to know all residents of district 4 and hear issues and questions they have regarding this issue. Informing the residents of district 4 about this issue is something I am passionate about. Addressing the future deficit, we will face by trying to bring innovative ways to bring back key resources that the board had to cut funding for. Downtown Lombard is in the process of development but I would like to see more change and more growth for the people of Lombard. Filling vacancies on St. Charles Road would help grow the downtown and generate more revue for the village.

* What makes you the best candidate for the job?

* Describe your leadership style and explain how you think that will be effective in producing actions and decisions with your village board or city council.

As member of a leadership role on my college campus, I strive to propose new ideas to members in my organization. While at the same time a good leader listens to suggestions and integrates them with his/her own judgment. It is something I am comfortable with and am willing to always use different perspectives to solve problems. Especially with the budget, it is important that we look at every possible way we as a village can bring in new revenue. Again, the vacancies in Lombard need to be filled and once they can produce revenue we can bring back incentives we have had to cut in the past.

* How would you describe the condition of your community's budget, and what are the most important specific actions the town should take to assure providing the level of services people want?

I believe that relationships with state and county elected officials are important when creating new ways to evaluate our budget, and I feel that the relationships I have with elected officials can come in handy when receiving and trying to allocate money to Lombard. Key services in Lombard have been cut due to set backs with the budget for example, Meals on Wheels and car services for seniors. Making sure village dollars are being handled with proper care and being put to where they are needed the most without neglecting other key services.

* What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?

Bringing a young youthful voice to the board is something Lombard has never seen before and to walk my district even after being elected to reach out to people and show them I have a presence in Lombard and in the community. I think it is the job as the elected official to stay connected with his/her district and serve them to the fullest.
