Green is everywhere during Elmhurst St. Patrick's Day Parade

A sea of green, a crowd of children scrambling for candy, animated characters, marching bands - all were part of the 23rd annual Elmhurst St. Patrick's Day Parade Saturday on Spring Road.

The parade featured more than 80 floats sponsored by local organizations, businesses and clubs, as well as Irish dancers, the Shannon Rovers, local team mascots Benny the Bull, Southpaw and Tommy Hawk, the Chicago Highlanders, Medinah Clowns, Elmhurst Armpit Orchestra with the world's largest drum and the York High School Marching Band.
