Youth art show will open Friday at Grayslake library

The Grayslake Area Public Library, in partnership with Grayslake Elementary District 46, Foundation 46, and Grayslake High School District 127, hosts the third annual Community Youth Art Show. The opening night reception is Friday, March 8, in the library at 100 Library Lane. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the reception begins at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Art will be on display, and viewers will enjoy hands-on activities, light refreshments and live jazz music from The Jim Jacobs Trio. Overflow parking is available at the village of Grayslake's Skate Park and Aquatic Center parking lots. Art pieces created by students will be on display through Sunday, March 31.
