Friends of the Palatine Library used book sale this weekend

Friends of the Palatine Library will hold a used book sale from Friday, Feb. 8 through Sunday, Feb. 10.

Sale items will include books, several hundred DVDs and compact discs donated by the community and available at a deep discount. A $5 admission fee will be charged to nonmembers only from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. The sale will continue from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 12:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday.

 

All items are half price on the final day, officials said. Proceeds from the private organization's fundraiser will benefit Palatine Public Library District. Friends of the Palatine Library supports the summer and winter reading programs, the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program and spring cultural events.

The library is at 700 N. North Court.
