Charges dismissed against man accused of threatening judge

Cook County prosecutors confirmed Wednesday they have dismissed charges against a Skokie man who had been accused of threatening a Skokie judge on social media.

A spokeswoman for Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx's office said prosecutors dropped the charges against 21-year-old Tyler Koehler-Davis but did not elaborate on the reason.

Authorities charged Koehler-Davis with threatening a public official last month after they said he caused a disruption in a courtroom.

According to authorities, Koehler-Davis was at the courthouse with a friend and did not have a case pending.
