Palatine releases revised garbage and recycling collection plan
Palatine officials say Groot has indicated another change in trash collection plans for the village in response to the frigid weather. Village officials say the latest plan calls for regular Wednesday garbage collections to occur Friday. Garbage should be at the curb by 6:30 a.m. Groot will not collect recyclables, so those must be held until the next pickup Wednesday, Feb. 6. Groot is contending with catching up with trash collection in several towns. Palatine officials say they apologize for any inconvenience that Groot's plan may cause.
