Lake County forest preserves closed until Friday
All Lake County forest preserves, trails, offices, programs, and facilities, including the Dunn Museum in Libertyville and dog parks, will be closed through Thursday, Jan. 31.
The Lake County Forest Preserve District took the action to protect the health and safety of patrons and employees because of forecast dangerously low temperatures and wind chills, said Alex Ty Kovach, executive director.
All locations will reopen at regularly scheduled times on Friday, Feb. 1. Visit https://www.lcfpd.org/ for more information.
