Naperville family displaced by fire in townhouse laundry room

A fire in a laundry room of a Naperville townhouse complex around 11:45 a.m. Monday didn't injure anyone but displaced a family, according to a news release from the Naperville Fire Department.

When fire crews arrived at the two-story complex on the 1600 block of Masters Court, they didn't see any flames or smoke, the release said.

After some investigation, the crews found the fire was coming from a unit where no one was home. A neighbor had to call the occupant to allow firefighters to enter through the garage, the release said.

The displaced family was assisted by the American Red Cross. The fire is still under investigation.
