Crespo appointed assistant majority leader in state House

State Rep. Fred Crespo, a Democrat from Hoffman Estates, will serve as assistant majority leader of the State House of Representatives.

"It is an honor to have been chosen to serve alongside a group of people who are a true representation of the diversity of the Democratic Caucus, the state of Illinois, and our country," Crespo said in an announcement of his appointment. "I look forward to continue advocating on behalf of the communities in the Northwest suburbs in my new post. There's a lot of work to be done to move our state forward and it must be done in a bipartisan way."

Crespo represents the 44th District, which includes portions of Hoffman Estates, Streamwood, Schaumburg, Hanover Park, Bartlett and Elgin.
