Lecture on saving Blanding's turtle population set for Jan. 24 in Prospect Heights

The Prospect Heights Natural Resources Commission and the Prospect Heights Public Library are co-sponsoring "On the Brink of Extinction, Efforts to Save the Endangered Blanding's Turtle in DuPage County" 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at the Prospect Heights Public Library, 12 N. Elm St. The presentation will be given by Dan Thompson, a wildlife ecologist with the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. He has been working to save the turtle populatiol since 1996.
