Maine West to host District 62 choirs

Maine West High School will host Des Plaines Elementary District 62 choirs in the collaborative 2nd Annual Choral Festival at 6:30 p.m., Jan. 14, in the spectator gym, 1755 South Wolf Road, Des Plaines. The concert is free and open to the public.

All District 62 schools will participate, along with the Maine West Chorus, for a total of about 300 singers. The District 62 choir students will take a field trip to Maine West during the day to rehearse with guest conductor, Catherine Delanoy, and Maine West Choral Director, James Schiffer.

"We are fortunate to have a strong partnership with District 207 as we collaborate to showcase our amazing fine arts programs here in District 62," said music teacher Mary Prost.
