Believe Project: $100 to help woman struggling to pay mortgage
Today's recipient of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Kathy Meeks of Lafayette, Indiana. Here is an excerpt of her story:
"My best friend is 63 and lost her job due to a death of the business owner this past May. She has not been able to find employment where we live because of her age.
"Every month she struggles to pay her mortgage and to try and purchase propane to heat her house and put groceries in her cabinets. I would love nothing more than to be able to help her out with this money."
• The Believe Project is awarding at least $100 daily in January to people with good ideas for how to use the money to do a good deed for someone else.
