$100 for service dog for ex-husband
Today's recipient of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Becky Schultz of Geneva. Here is an excerpt of her story:
"My ex-husband is saving up for a service dog, and I have not been able to help out. I have found him unresponsive numerous times.
"A service dog would bring both of us and our three kids peace of mind. He rejected his kidney transplant after diabetes caused his kidneys to fail in the first place. After a successful career as a fireman, he was forced to stop working and go on disability.
"$100 would be an amazing gift to help him reach his goal."
• The Believe Project is awarding at least $100 each day in January to people with good ideas for how to use the money to do a good deed for someone else.
