Community involvement: Naperville Mayor's Advisory Committee and Liquor Commission; advisory committee for Wheaton Bank and Trust, a subsidiary of Wintrust Bank; member of Young Hearts for Life board.
David Dial Hometown: Naperville
Professional background: Chair of Department of Criminal Justice at Aurora University; former Naperville police chief and police officer for 45 years; served as a military intelligence officer in Vietnam.
Community involvement: Member of the faculty senate and faculty adviser for the Student Veterans Association. Lifetime member of the DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association and a member of the Community Policing Committee for the International Chiefs of Police Association. Teaches Homeland Security policing at the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy.
Nathaniel EdmondHometown: Native of Birmingham, Alabama; now Lake in the Hills.
Professional background: Pastor of Second Baptist Church of Elgin; retired executive Alcoa Aluminum.
Community involvement: Board vice chair of Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin; board member of Advocate Health Systems, United Way of Elgin, and Alignment Collaborative For Education of Elgin; trustee emeritus of Judson University in Elgin.
Amy FlorianHometown: Hoffman Estates
Professional background: CEO of Corgenius; a fellow in Thanatology (study of death, loss, grief, aging, and transition); has taught graduate classes at Loyola University Chicago for 10 years; former executive director of a small nonprofit; author of more than 150 articles and several books.
Community involvement: Has volunteered at area parishes; facilitates support groups for widowed people.
Grace GarlickHometown: Arlington Heights.
Professional background: Journalism and communications student at Harper College in Palatine; writes for the college newspaper, The Harbinger; worked on John Hersey High School's newspaper, The Correspondent, for two years, including as entertainment editor.
Therese HartHometown: Crystal Lake
Professional background: Humanities professor and department chair at Harper College in Palatine; taught art history at McHenry County College in Crystal Lake and art history and appreciation at Elgin Community College.
Community involvement: Choir member at Tree of Life Unitarian Universalist Congregation in McHenry; performs at Festival of the Voice at the Raue Center in Crystal Lake to raise money for PADS; cooks meals for homeless neighbors at Compassion for Campers events.

Christine RadognoHometown: LaGrange/Lemont.
Professional background: Retired Illinois Senate Republican leader; served in the senate for 20 years, last nine as first female caucus leader in state history; LaGrange village trustee, 1989-1997. Before politics, used her master's in social work degree in the mental health field.
Community involvement: A member of J.B Pritzker's transition team; preschool volunteer; serves on not-for-profit board that administers a green energy program.

Professional background: Licensed clinical psychologist working in the field of mental health for about 21 years; a professor at a private university for about 15 years; founder and director of Ramos and Associates Behavioral Health Clinic operating in Mount Prospect and Naperville.
Tom RoeserHometown: Barrington Hills
Profession: President of OTTO Engineering in Carpentersville; worked 30 years at OTTO, 12 years at Baxter Travenol, 1974-1986
Community involvement: Board member, Boys and Girls Club of Dundee Township; served on Elgin Symphony Orchestra Board, 1999-2007; Barrington Unit District 220 school board, 1989-1993.
