Three charged in Beach Park home burglary
Three young men have been charged with felony burglary of a Beach Park home on Thursday afternoon.
Lake County sheriff's officers were dispatched to a residence on the 38700 block of North Sheridan Road at around 2:15 p.m. Thursday after a 911 caller said that there was a burglary in progress.
Officers soon found a car matching the description of the one being driven by the burglars, according to a news release issued Friday by the sheriff's office. When officers were in sight of the car, three people ran away from it on foot.
Thashawn S.C. Robinson, 19, of Zion; Tyshawn King, 19, of Gurnee; and a 17-year-old juvenile, who police did not identify, were captured after a brief foot chase, the release said.
Robinson and King were taken to Lake County jail and the 17-year-old was taken to Hulse Juvenile Detention Center near Vernon Hills.
