Believe Project: $100 for 'sweet woman who never complains'

Today's recipient of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Carolyn Sweeney of Elk Grove Village. Here is an excerpt of her story:

"If I had $100 to make someone's life easier, I would give it to Janice. Janice is middle-aged and works at a full-time job where she stands all day. She is well liked by her co-workers.

"Janice has a husband who is housebound because of illness. He has a walker and a wheelchair. They have no children.

"Janice is a sweet woman who never complains. She takes care of everything that needs to be done at home. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, doctor appointments, grass cutting, snow shoveling, etc.

"Thank you for your consideration."

• The Believe Project is awarding at least $100 each day in December to people with good ideas for how to use the money to do a good deed for someone else.
