The Daily Herald's 120 years of Paddock leadership

The Paddock family name has been linked to the newspaper industry since Hosea Cornish Paddock bought the Palatine Enterprise Weekly on Dec. 15, 1898, for $175. He started a legacy that evolved into today's Daily Herald Media Group.

Rolling Meadows City Manager Gary Machunze, Herald Rolling Meadows City Editor Edward Murnane and Rolling Meadows Mayor Roland Meyer were among the first to get a look at the Daily Herald in 1969 with Stuart R. Paddock Jr.
