Special branch pickup next week in Elk Grove

Due to the recent winter storm and resulting storm damage, Elk Grove Village will have a special branch pickup next week.

Officials say residents should place branches in the parkway of their property by 7 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3. Branches that are eight inches or less in diameter will be collected, and should be stacked with cut ends pointing to the curb. Public works crews will make one pass down all streets to collect branches during the week.

But also because of the storm, the village won't offer an additional date for curbside leaf collection. Residents can still drop off bagged leaves for free until Friday, Dec. 7, at the James P. Petri Public Works Facility, 600 Landmeier Road, or Public Works Biesterfield Facility at 1635 Biesterfield Road.
