Palatine library taking food donations
The Palatine Public Library District will host a food drive tied to a winter reading program beginning Saturday, Dec. 1.
The effort runs with Read to Feed through Dec. 31. Patrons are asked to contribute nonperishable food items, along with cleaning and personal hygiene products, for residents of Palatine Township experiencing food insecurity.
Items may be dropped off at the main library lobby, 700 N. North Court in Palatine. The items requested include cereal, coffee, canned chicken, baby wipes and diapers, cleaning products and paper grocery bags.
