Mundelein parks leader named to state association's board

Mundelein Park & Recreation District's Executive Director Margaret Resnick has been elected to serve as the Chicago Metro Region Representative on the Illinois Park & Recreation Association's board of directors.

Resnick is a certified park and recreation professional who's been executive director in Mundelein since 2007.

"My hope is to contribute to a strong future of IPRA by re-energizing membership and building participation," Resnick said Wednesday in an announcement of her appointment.

Resnick will be sworn in at the Illinois Association of Park District Soaring to New Heights Conference in January. Established in 1944, the IPRA's mission is to provide and promote exceptional standards of education, networking, and resources for all professionals in the Illinois Park, recreation, and conservation communities.
