Snow is in the forecast for the suburbs this evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Here's what you need to know.

When?

Most of the snow will fall overnight and into midmorning Friday.

How much?

Around an inch in most of the suburbs. Less than an inch in the city. Some outlying areas might see a little more snow.

Impact?

Roads could be slippery at times, including during the Friday morning commute.

How cold will it be?

Lows tonight could be anywhere from 27 degrees to 32. Friday will be breezy with highs only in the mid-30s. Friday night will be even colder with lows in the teens expected. Grab an extra blanket.
