Stylin' for Scholars at Barrington fashion show

Food, fashion and philanthropy came together in Barrington on Sunday when the Chicago Northwest Suburban Alumnae Panhellenic hosted its annual Stylin' for Scholars Fall Fashion Show and Luncheon.

The event, held at Makray Memorial Golf Club, is a key fundraiser for the organization, which provides scholarships to suburban college students who have initiated into national Panhellenic sororities.

“Every little bit counts when it comes to college,” said Ellise Kingsberg, the organization's treasurer. “These ladies are very appreciative of anything that can help them go to school.”

Fashions featured in the show came from J. Jill in the Arboretum of South Barrington. The models were members of Panhellenic sororities. The event also featured themed basket raffles, a silent auction and a jewelry raffle.
