Oakton hosts Halloween activities for kids, students

Oakton Community College will host "Halloween Games," an event allowing children and students of all ages to celebrate Halloween in a safe environment with free, spooky activities throughout the day Wednesday, at the college's Des Plaines (1600 E. Golf Road) and Skokie (7701 N. Lincoln Ave.) campuses.

Activities include trick-or-treating from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Halloween movie trivia at 11 a.m., in the Des Plaines cafeteria; costume contests at noon at the Des Plaines and Skokie cafeterias; a tarot card reader, crystal ball gazer or ask the Ouija board about the future, at the Student Center in Des Plaines; a horror photo shoot: Selfie at the Student Center in Des Plaines; and Count von Count! Guests can guess the amount of candy corn in the jar and win, at the Student Center in Des Plaines.
