Delays reported on Metra's BNSF railway line

Numerous trains on Metra's Burlington Northern Santa Fe Line are running behind schedule or canceled due to downed wires, officials said on the Metra website.

Trains #1201, #1205, #1209, #1213 and #1215 have been canceled.

Crews have removed the downed wires and power poles from the tracks.

The BNSF line serves people from Aurora, Naperville and Lisle.

BNSF customers are urged to use the Union Pacific West as an alternate means of travel to Chicago, officials said.

Metra and the BNSF Railway are monitoring this situation closely and will provide timely updates. People should continue to check for delays at metrarail.com, or listen to platform announcements for delay times.
