Touch a Truck and Pumpkin Fest draw families to Libertyville

Well Church Street in downtown Libertyville was filled with all kinds of service trucks and vehicles during Cook Memorial Public Library District's 17th annual Touch a Truck and Pumpkin Fest Saturday.

Parents raised their little ones up to the steering wheels of a wide variety of vehicles, including steam rollers, bucket trucks, police cars, military vehicles and tow trucks.

Kids also had a chance to paint their own pumpkins, gets their faces painted and check out a book from the library.

The festival featured a quiet hour from 10 to 11 a.m. without horns, whistles or sirens for kids who are scared by the loud noises. The noisy version followed from 11 a.m. to noon.
