Rollins Road to close for construction near Round Lake

The Lake County Division of Transportation will close Rollins Road to through traffic from Fairfield to Wilson roads starting at 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, authorities said.

Officials expect the road to reopen two weeks later, on Monday, Oct. 29. The closure will affect motorists in Round Lake, Round Lake Heights and Round Lake Beach.

The shut down is necessary to replace the Eagle Creek culvert, officials said. Motorists are asked to take a detour route of Fairfield Road to Route 134 to Wilson Road. Local traffic will have access on Rollins Road from Elm Avenue to Wilson Road and from Grove Avenue east to Fairfield Road, authorities said.
