Candidates to debate at Oct. 14 Arlington Heights forum

Candidates in local races will debate during a forum Sunday, Oct. 14, at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library.

Candidates invited to the event, scheduled from 1 to 6 p.m., are 54th House District Republican incumbent Tom Morrison and Democratic challenger Maggie Trevor; 53rd House District Republican Eddie Corrigan and Democrat Mark Walker; 27th Senate District Republican Tom Rooney and Democratic challenger Ann Gillespie; and 9th Congressional District Democratic incumbent Jan Schakowsky and Republican challenger John Elleson.

The forum is among three being co-sponsored at area libraries in October by the League of Women Voters of Palatine and the League of Women Voters Arlington Heights-Mount Prospect-Buffalo Grove. For more information, visit lwvahforums.com.
