Two drivers injured in three-vehicle crash in St. Charles Township

Three cars crashed at the intersection of Silver Glenn and Stevens roads around 3:20 p.m. Thursday in St. Charles Township, according to a news release from the Kane County sheriff's office.

Two of the drivers were taken to hospitals with nonlife-threatening injuries.

According to the news release:

A Honda Accord was traveling south on Stevens road when it stopped at a stop sign at the intersection. The Honda then entered the intersection and was struck by a pickup truck traveling west on Silver Glenn road.

The truck, which did not have a stop sign, went into a spin and hit a separate Honda Accord traveling east on Silver Glenn.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken by helicopter to an area hospital. The driver of the second Accord was taken to Delnor Hospital in Geneva, and the driver of the first Accord was treated at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation
