Fox Valley Folk Music fest wraps up in downtown Geneva

The 42nd Fox Valley Folk Music and Storytelling Festival wrapped up its two-day run Monday at Island Park along the banks of the Fox River near downtown Geneva.

It featured two days of education and entertainment with concerts, storytelling, workshops, craft demonstrations, a barn dance and "Ghost Stories" for people who brought their flashlights.

People could also bring their instruments for hands-on workshops and jamming.

In all there were 35 featured acts and more than 100 individual performers on eight stage areas.

When people weren't listening to music or stories, they could eat, drink, buy CDs and check out the folk art.
