Palatine GOP pig roast set for Aug. 12

The Palatine Township Republican Organization will hold its annual pig roast fundraiser from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12, at Grove 2 of Deer Grove East Forest Preserve in Palatine.

A number of elected officials and candidates will be at the picnic, including state Rep. Tom Morrison, state Sen. Tom Rooney, Cook County Commissioner Gregg Gosling, Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak and Palatine Committeeman Aaron Del Mar. Also attending will be Palatine Township Trustee Bill Pohlman and judicial candidates Christine Svenson, Dan Fitzgerald and Gary Seyring.

A plate of roast pig, side dishes and drink tickets are $25 for adults. Children under 10 years old are free. Attendees can pay by cash, check or credit card at the picnic.
