'Coco' coming to Palatine outdoor family movie night

The Palatine Park District's free annual outdoor movie night on Thursday, Aug. 9, will feature the Disney Pixar hit "Coco." It will be shown at Fred P. Hall Amphitheater, 256 E. Palatine Road, at approximately 8:15 p.m. Coolers, blankets, and chairs are encouraged, and concessions will be available for purchase at Pizza Bella's Poolside Café. Pre-movie activities, including a craft and a free raffle, will start at 7 p.m.

"We're happy to provide these fun and free events to the community," Palatine Park District Cultural Arts Coordinator Ashley Schiavone said in a news release. "With school starting soon, the outdoor movie night provides families with a fun way to celebrate the end of summer while experiencing our parks in a unique way."

For weather cancellation information, call (847) 705-5123, extension 431, or visit PalatineParks.org. The rain date is Saturday, Aug. 11.
