Des Plaines-area man who told relatives he would 'finish' them sent to prison

A 66-year-old Des Plaines-area man who told family members last December that he would "finish" them was sentenced to two years in prison in exchange for pleading guilty to aggravated battery, court records show.

Police say Muminur Rahman entered a Des Plaines home Dec. 3, 2017, carrying a large kitchen knife and told family members he was going to "finish all of you."

Family members subdued Rahman and called police, who arrested him at his home in an unincorporated area near Des Plaines.

Rahman was also ordered to pay $669 in fines. He received credit for 242 days in custody, court records show.
