Roadside checkpoint Aug. 10 in Arlington Heights

The Arlington Heights Police Department will conduct a roadside safety checkpoint Friday, Aug. 10 at Rand Road and Beverly Lane.

It's part of the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" and "Click It or Ticket" enforcement campaigns, officials say.

Police will attempt to identify and cite motorists who aren't wearing seat belts, are driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or are committing other traffic-related offenses.

The campaign is funded with federal traffic safety funds, which are administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
