3 hurt in head-on collision in St. Charles

Three people were injured in a head-on collision on Route 31 in St. Charles, authorities said.

The two cars were traveling along Route 31 near St. Charles North High School when one crossed over into oncoming traffic, according to the St. Charles fire department.

Officials said three people were transported to area hospitals, but couldn't immediately provide further details.

The crash is currently under investigation by the St. Charles police department, authorities said.
