Arlington Heights Library building work starts Monday

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library on two building projects, though neither will result in any closures to the library, officials said.

Work will start to replace the 21-year-old roof atop the 1978 building addition, located on the south end of the library. It will cost $314,250, which is below the $425,000 library officials budgeted.

The library is also spending $128,354 to replace outside skylight panels.

Both projects are expected to be complete by Sept. 14.
