Arlington Heights launches coloring contest

Children are invited to color "Nat the Knight" for a chance to win up to $25 at Arlington Heights' National Night Out.

The second annual coloring contest, sponsored by the police department and park district, will award prizes for first to fourth place and in age groups pre-kindergarten to grade 1, grades 2-4 and grades 5-6.

Contest sheets are available at,, all park district facilities, village hall and the police department. Completed submissions, due by July 27, can be dropped off at Recreation Park or the police department.

Winners will be selected based upon creativity and originality. National Night Out is from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at North School Park.
