Cup-A-Joe for veterans
AREA General Store, 18 E. Park St., in Mundelein is now a host site for Lake County Veterans and Family Services Foundation's Cup-A-Joe coffee gathering. Veterans can stop in between 4:30 and 6 p.m. any Tuesday for a free cup of coffee and snack to accompany conversation, friendship and camaraderie. The coffee gathering has been adding locations since it began in 2015 at Daisy's ARTish Café in Lake Villa. The goal is to connect veterans and provide information on available resources. Cup-A-Joe also meets Wednesdays at Daisy's in Lake Villa and at the Veteran Center at the College of Lake County and Thursdays at It's All Good Coffee in Zion. Visit www.lakevetsfound.org.
